Yes. Absolutely. Please feel free to contact me directly through this site and let’s talk. Thank you.

Is shipping included in the price of the artwork?

Yes. Shipping is included to anywhere in the world.

On average, how many hours does it take to complete a painting?

The time spent on a painting depends upon a variety of factors, of course, such as the amount of detail and the size. However, on average a painting takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete, based upon around 8 hours work per day.

Do you draw the painting out by hand first?

Using photographs as raw material, I do a pencil drawing of the chosen image onto the canvas. This is done by hand; I don’t use a projector. It is an important stage and I put down as much information as possible prior to the painting process.

Aside from Los Angeles where are some of your other favorite places in the world to visit?

As well as Los Angeles, over the years I have taken inspiration from the urban landscapes of New York, Philadelphia and Helsinki and the desert landscape of Joshua Tree National Park.

Why is Los Angeles the most common subject matter of your paintings?

The intense luminosity of the light is particularly important. I addition, LA is home to a wide range of buildings and locations – some beautiful, some quirky, some iconic and some historic. And embedded within these lies a plethora of cultural meanings and identities. The film industry provides one dimension to this. The artist David Hockney once commented that although he was born in Bradford, England, he was brought up in Hollywood. Not in the literal sense, physical sense, but rather in the sense of sharing in a world created and disseminated globally by Hollywood.
